Where Does Time Go
Posted by admin in Uncategorized on August 31, 2010
Today I got up at 7:30, made the bed, cleaned the bathroom, straightened up the other room and went downstairs. I made coffee, threw a load of dark clothes in the washer and separated the other clothes into white, towels and colors. While I was in the basement I sweep down the steps and the floor, change the litter box and cleaned the downstairs bathroom. When I went to the second floor the coffee was ready and I sat down and ate breakfast. After breakfast I took out the trash, loaded the dishwasher and cleaned corn on the cob for supper. I started to get lunch ready for my husband who comes home every day. When that was done I got dressed and took the cat to get his nails cut, came home dropped him off and then went to two banks, craft store and the grocery store. Came home unloaded the groceries, went and talked to a neighbor who I haven’s seen in a year. Then I cleaned some weeds in the yard, came in the house, started the potatoes for supper, and now I’m on the computer at its 2 o’clock. Then at 5 I will go to Aquacize for 1 hr. Home eat dinner at 7:30 watch television till 10:30 and go to bed.
It’s Dreary Outside

It’s hurricane season and “Bill” is churning out there in the Atlantic, threatening the Florida coasts. Whenever these storms start getting closer, it means that we have intermittent rain on and off throughout the day. Last night the rain was heavy but didn’t last too long. Today there is black clouds way off on the horizon and the droplets come and go. If I wear the usual gray or dark blue or black pants suit (even in this heat), I blend in with the atmosphere and contribute to a dreary sense of foreboding and darkness, or at least it feels that way. So instead, today I put on white slacks, a white scoop-necked sleeveless top and a red jacket. It’s not a bright red but more of what they call brick red. Ah, and on my feet, I have these precious round-toed shoes that are patterned with flowers (mostly red), trimmed in green plaid ribbon, and tied with a green bow at the toes. Add to that my silver necklace, earrings and watch and I am an antidote to the ominous look of the threatening skies.

Hobbies are the wonderful moments where I spent my precious time; I utilize my spare time and build my creative ideas in Sketch drawing, glass painting and craft works. I usually spent more time in drawing and paintings were I used to forget foods, which also make me forget myself. Sketch drawing improves my drawing skills in my leisure hours; I used to draw whatever thing comes in my view. Paintings especially glass paintings where I used to spent hours together and improve my skills to learn all paintings which related to glass like crystal, reverse, stain and Tanjore reverse glass painting .Craft works include doing different artificial flowers, creative works in paper, which is a great fun for the children’s in my family and neighborhood, and also small ornaments like bracelets which is useful for myself and also for my friends and relatives. My hobbies initially made me to utilize my spare time but later after seeing its output around my friends and relative, it also make me a business women and improve my self confidence and also my family financial status.
My best mistake ever
Posted by admin in Uncategorized on August 20, 2010
My son is 16 years old and a junior in high school. He is a mistake, he was conceived out of wedlock and I was just 23 years old. Bringing him into the world was a traumatic experience and I was not ready by any means. As a newborn he was strong enough to hold his head up without support. He was a happy baby and loved to explore when he was mobile. As he grew up he couldn’t sit still and focus, I was worried that school would be a challenge. When he finally made it to school he bloomed. He loved to learn and now is involved in everything. He volunteers at the local zoo, plays soccer year round, is a National Honors Society member, member of the theater crew, Student council, yearbook committee, plays the clarinet in the Marching and Pep bands and bass clarinet in the concert band. He even composed a piece for this year’s show. He is excited about college and is planning on studying zoology, botany and architecture so he can design zoo enclosures. I have nothing to complain about, well maybe he is a bit scatterbrained at times and isn’t the best at picking up after himself but he has turned out to be a great person and I am so happy I made such a big mistake. I am so proud to say I’m his mom!

My Days at Buck Ridge
Posted by admin in Uncategorized on August 16, 2010
This summer and the one 2 years ago I worked as part of the maintenance crew for a local golf course. We would start work at 6:30 am every week day and usually end by 3:30. My duties consisted of mowing the various parts of the course, from the rough to greens etc. I also edged the sand traps, string trimmed, watered, filled in divots and other general tasks that would arise. I really enjoyed my job, my coworkers are all good guys and I love being outside all the time. In addition, I get to golf for free and so I took advantage of that several times and enjoyed myself. I plan on returning to that job again in the summer when I am done with college for the year. With the current economy, I am not taking any chances looking elsewhere for work as I can guarantee work, which is now becoming tough to do.
Stellenbosch Hiatus Stellenbosch, South Africa

The South Hemisphere and hot as any place I have been—in the middle of February. This was the site of my last vacation, a small town of 20 thousand about an hour drive away from the cosmopolitan Cape Town. Stellenbosch is different than Cape Town in many ways. Movement is slow; I spent my days touring wineries (there are over fifty within a bike ride) and taking photos of magnificent mountain ranges. On other days, I sampled the local cuisine which consisted mainly of meat and interacted with locals at braais, the South African word for barbeques. One day, I rode an elephant. On another, I fired a shotgun for the first time. The pace in Stellenbosch is relaxed and I enjoyed my break from the hectic schedule of classes and work. The people were kind; it seemed foreigners are held in high esteem in Stellenbosch. Unfortunately, I could not stay long enough. Before I knew it, I was on a plane back to the United States.

- Cover of Saw [Blu-ray]
Definitely my favorite movies are Saw 1, Saw 2, Saw 3, Saw 4 and Saw 5. I can say every single part of this amazing series of movies. I do not like scary movies too much, but these five movies are something special. They are not classic horror movies where we have one or couple of killers and that is basically it. In Saw we do not know who is a killer. Well, not really a killer because a bad guy in this movie do not kill a single person. Personally. He locks them in some room, put around them some killing machines. Everybody can escape, but that is almost impossible. Bad guy in this movie, jigsaw, is genius. He is very smart but he is very mad person. He was normal before, but after loosing his baby, he got crazy. Only one person manage to escaped and survive in whole five movies.
“Neeya Nana” is the program which touched my heart
Posted by admin in Uncategorized on August 6, 2010
Star Vijay has come up with this light hearted talk show called Neeya Nana (You? or Me?) every Sunday at 9pm. Every week, one topic is chosen and two groups of people representing the extreme ends face each other and discuss on the show. The strongest point of the show is the moderator, Gopinath. Seemingly well aware of the various shortcomings of the talk show, he treads the golden mean very well, ever alert to simmering tensions and quick to shifting perspectives when he senses trouble or repetition. The topics in this program are like “If the 90% mark is essential to a better life?” “Is India the place for only rich people?” Which will cover the social aspects of humans. Gopinath is the show runner also; he decides the travel the ship. This show mainly targets the corporate people on a major share and college student’s shares next. This show is truly based on what you feel and what you talk on certain views that get discussed.
Snacks for Dinner

I did not really have a full sit down dinner last night. I have been working on trying to eat healthy, so I have been focusing more on eating small things throughout the day. Also, my husband was working late last night, so I just kind of snacked all evening, because when he works late, I will really not spend all the time cooking a whole meal for myself from scratch. So I guess my “dinner” consisted of some salted edamame, a banana and a container of strawberry banana yogurt. It was not the most exciting, but it was fairly healthy and kept me from eating any unhealthy things before bed… well, I did just have a couple little pieces of chocolate…
Living in the Shadow of the City that Never Sleeps

I live less than five minutes from the Lincoln Tunnel, which leads to the heart of Manhattan. It is almost impossible to live this close to the capital of the world and not be affected by its pace. Unless you are very ill, moving at less than break-neck speed is just not an option. I have a full time job outside my home, and I have an eleven-month-old daughter who keeps me busy when I’m home. My day starts between four thirty and five in the morning, and I almost never go to bed the same day I awake. When I wake up, I nurse my daughter and then put her back to bed. Then I shower and, if I don’t have any last-minute tasks to complete before I go to work, make breakfast for me and my husband who wakes up after me. I leave the house by six forty to get to work by seven thirty. I usually skip lunch to avoid having to stay late, and on most days, I leave at four fifteen and get home by five. Then I hang out with my beautiful daughter and catch up on mommy time while my husband goes to the gym. If I have work with me, then I do my reports while watching movies with my girl and occasionally taking nursing and playing breaks. It makes everything take longer, but I don’t mind. Then I cook dinner or call my husband to pick something up on his way home while I clean up around the house. When he comes home, we eat dinner and hang out while we digest. Then, I nurse my daughter once more and we all go to bed.
